Link: portal.chaminade-stl.comChaminade is College Preparatory High School based in St. Louis. This project involved a complete remake of Chaminade's public website with a goal of having a great looking site that's easy to update, and helps build the involvement of students, parents, and alumni.
In addition, they also wanted to utilize the internet to enhance learning and so the site incorporates a variety of e-learning tools that allow for a variety of tasks, including submitting and reviewing assignments, to be done online...
The fine folks at
SteadyRain served as the lead in the creation of this powerful and beautiful site. Efficion contributed the following pieces:
- Implemented a custom skin based on designs provided by SteadyRain. Each section of the site is themed with a different color and the skins I built make it easy to change the base color of the page.
- Creating Two custom menu providers based on the Telerik's RadMenu and RadPanelBar. The top menu needed to allow each section to be a different color along with a variety of other customizations.
- Implemented a site-wide Search Module.
- Designed and implemented an extensible data model that could accomadate immediate e-learning needs as well as grow to meet future needs.
- Implemented a variety of e-learning modules for the submission, review, and return of assignments
- Created a Flexible Directory module that enables parents and alumni to input many extra details beyond what the standard DNN registration includes such as graduation year, spouse Information, childrens names and grades, ... The module includes importing capabilities for importing parents and alumni from existing databases. Also, the module varies the information it collects and displays based on what groups the user belongs to.
- Incorporated a variety of 3rd party modules including my Articles module.
