About the What's New Module

The What's New module displays the latest items added to your DotNetNuke 3.x Portal. It will only work in DNN 3.x and for items in modules that have implemented DNN's Search implementation.

What's New Announcements

What's New 3.0.2 Released - Friday, August 12, 2005 - Friday, August 12, 2005
This version has two new additions:
-It adds the ability to set the Maximum Description Length.
-It removes all Image Module items from the list as the Image Module sets the Publish Date to Now() and therefore monopolized the list.

Version 3.0.2 does away with beta tag, we believe the module is now stable and functional enough to be considered release quality.

Known Issues

The What's New module relies heavily upon DNN 3's Search Implementation. Most issues are a result of weaknesses in the way modules implement Search. We will do what we can to overcome these issues.

  • The DNN Image Module sets the PublishDate to Now() and therefore images would always appear as the most recent. So, the Stored Procedure now filters out all Image Module items.
